Our Story

Hanford Ranch Winery

Best known as “The Gateway to the Lodi Wine Country and Galts’ "hill top hidden secret."

Located just outside of the beautiful and historic city of Sacramento, on the north-east corner of Simmerhorn Road and Loll Road, this 40-acre hilltop ranch was founded by Preston Hanford Jr. in 2006.

The venue, with amazing panoramic views, was launched by Preston Hanford Jr. and his wife Melissa Hanford in 2014. They found their love of wine and entertaining led them to their dream of wine making, hosting weddings, and other special events.  

Hanford Ranch Winery is constantly enhancing the natural beauty of the property.  Preston and Melissa are continuously evolving and conceiving new ideas to improve the venue and surrounding grounds.
